Our Team
The Brahman Commodities team consists of knowledgeable grains professionals with more than 100 years of combined experience across all facets of the Australian grains industry. We are innovative, nimble, and dedicated to your success.
Michael Aikman
Director / CEO
Michael Aikman has over 21 years of experience in business development, supply chain management and international trade. He specialises in Wheat, Barley and Sorghum markets in Australia, and has a strong market knowledge of export and derivative trade flows globally. With extensive experience gained from multiple years working across Canada and Australia, Michael has established strong market relationships throughout the industry.
Tim Bickford
Director / Senior Trader
Tim Bickford has 16 years of experience in the grain industry, including 11 years of trading experience. Prior to joining Lemarc Agromond, he has worked in number of roles at GrainCorp including cash trading experience in the UK and EU markets. Throughout his career, Tim has developed a strong knowledge of the international grain markets and has been responsible for managing derivative positions, currency, and hedge books, along with vast experience in developing and executing export strategies.
Michael Roche
Senior Trader
Michael Roche has 15 years of experience in the grain trade with 12 years working at GrainCorp Trading business unit. Michael has developed a strong knowledge of the domestic grain markets.
Tom Barraket
Portfolio Manager
Tom has over 16 years’ experience in financial markets specialising in commodities. Tom began his career in Treasury at Bank of Scotland before joining Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Institutional Banking Markets Division where he spent 14 years. He held various roles at Commonwealth Bank, including the Head of Agricultural Commodities Sales and Trading, and more recently was Head Portfolio Manager for the Environmental Markets, Energy and Agricultural Commodities business.

Tom Heggaton has over 10 years’ experience in the grains industry, covering all aspects from production, accumulation, domestic and international trade execution.
After graduating from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, Tom had 5 years working in Southern New South Wales for Croker Grain.

Courtney Campbell
Trade Coordinator
Courtney Campbell completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree in 2022 at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. Prior to joining Brahman Commodities, Courtney worked in a graduate position at GrainCorp in the Grower Services and Marketing team.
William Headlam
Trade Coordinator
Will Headlam has a livestock background with many years of hands-on experience, working on a variety of properties in Tasmania and the North East pastoral division of South Australia. With a drive to extend his knowledge and experiences Will studied Agricultural Business Management at Charles Sturt University where he developed an interest in adding value to supply chains. Since graduating in 2021 he has worked at Brahman Commodities as a Trade Coordinator.
